Closing statement:

In conclusion, we still believe that voting is a right. We also strongly believe that all of our evidence supports it. Our evidence was that uneducated voters have a bad impact on elections so if they were forced to vote it won't do any good for their country. Our next piece of evidence is that voting is a fundamental right more then it is a responsibility. There shouldn't be any discrimination between people while voting as everyone is equal. If it wasn't a right, this wouldn't be the case.

Giving everyone the right to vote isn't discrimination either. You are giving everyone the chance to vote. Every citizen, but some people choose not to.

Having voting as a right also means that everyone has the chance to vote, some people just choose not to.

If people don’t vote then that simply means that they are ok with anyone ruling the country. If they were so passionate about one candidate they would make the effort to vote.

You need education to fully understand some of the topics the candidates are talking about. How would you know what is wrong and what is right, what is bad and what is good if you don't fully understand the topics. Thats why you need education.

That does not mean that every healthy person above 18 is educated.

About your survey example, sometimes if you are forced to do one you just put random answers in. That could be the same with voting if everyone is forced to vote. That's why it is a right.

Its their right to vote because sometimes people don't agree with any of the candidates, why should they be forced to make a decision?

Quote from the linked website: “In essence, ignorance and superficiality have taken a stronghold on our voting system. People, more than ever before, are voting without knowing what they're voting for.”

Only people who truly care, want to vote and are educated about politics should vote. If someone isn’t educated about politics then they might not know who or what they are promoting when casting their vote. People who don’t want to be involved or people who don’t care about this important process shouldn’t vote. Plus, if they don’t care about voting and they are forced to vote they might put their vote in carelessly since they didn’t take the time to understand and research any of the candidates.

Opening Statement:

We believe that voting is a right. Some of the points we are going to bring up are the cons that come with forcing people to vote, and why voting has to be a fundamental right.
